A 20-year-old Mesa woman who had urinated on herself grabbed a pair of khaki pants at a department store, put them on and attempted to leave, police records show.
The woman was stopped by security officers at the Mervyn’s in the 1200 block of East Main Street on Sunday afternoon with several articles of underclothing valued at $47 stuffed in her purse, police said.

A San Francisco woman who allegedly walked away from her baby boy after giving birth to him on a street corner was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and neglect, police said.
Nadine Matthews gave birth on the sidewalk Sunday night, then walked away pretending that it never happened, said SFPD Capt. Al Casciato.

KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - A man who shot at firefighters after they refused to get his cat out of a tree has been sentenced to five months in jail. Jeffrey Francis Cullen, 59, of Kingman, was also ordered to be on intensive probation for five years as part of his sentence, handed down Friday by Mohave County Superior Court Judge Robert R. Moon.
